Thankful Thursday

Another week full of good and not so good things has passed and I am thankful because:

1. I was able to get the performance appraisal, same as last year but this time I have a grateful heart to receive it.
2. Despite the fact that I have let go of the thought that I can be promoted my boss still told me that I have a chance and I am next line. I am grateful but still I am no longer interested. There is more to life. I am still willing to extend my help on the floor but not as a team leader.
This is just more of a music to my ears but not entirely because some people still have issues about me which I thought they have let go of already.
3. In general, my company that I am working for is very generous to its employees and I will never forget it.
4. Our company has this R & R program wherein every year, each team will be given a budget to go out of town and go on a vacation for 3 days. I am excited because part of our team will be having our R & R tomorrow and I am really excited because my friends who are in the other team will also be going with us.
5. I learned that my review program may be extended to catch up on the days I was not able to come to class due to my office sked.
6. For my big sister, my Thursday church buddy, my cook, my mother, my runner. She agreed to go and pay for the house mortgage that is due today.

Thankful Thursday - Spirit

My most favorite day of the week is Thursday even if it means that I have to wake up at 4:30 AM. I wake up that early on Thursdays to go to church before starting my day. I also go to church on Sundays but what makes this day more exciting is that I could post my thankful list.

It makes me feel good being thankful although some things don’t go my way. I feel bad at the onset but as I hit the keyboard to type the things I’m thankful for, I feel a sense of well being. My spirit is being lifted
As the CWO widget says, I choose to live well. We always have choices in life. At the end of the day, you could choose to be happy or you choose to be sad.
So what am I thankful for?

  • For another chance to be at the church this morning. Learning things about Karma. About reaping what you sow.
  • We were able to come up with the good cheer for the team and did not humiliate ourselves. In fact, we enjoyed it. Although it’s still unofficial, we might get into the semi-finals. The Premium Battle is our office core’s “Battle of the Brains”.
  • My PC has finally come off bypass. Thank God! This means that I do not have to hurry buying a replacement. The PC runs faster now. Thanks also to my IT officemates who took some time off to tweak my junk.
  • God showed me the solution to my seem-to-be possessed PC. The mouse pointer moved here and there, opened and closed programs and applications. For a while I thought that I was being hacked or the PC was infected with a virus. I thought the PC needed a replacement. It just came into my mind, thank God, to try another mouse and the weird thing did not happen again. Although, I am bringing home my office mouse after my shift, Lord you know that I am not stealing. It’s still my accountability and I still bring it to work the following day. I’m just borrowing it because I can’t go to the mall until Sunday to buy a mouse. I have class in the morning and work in the afternoon until evening. I know you understand.
  • I was able to snatch some hours of sleep after the church before I will head to class
  • My little niece, who’s a toddler now, can say my name smiling when she sees me. Her sweetness lifts up my spirit when I feel grumpy.
  • I’m thankful for a brand new day.

Thankful Thursday

I cant’ wait to post my thankful list for the week
First of, I’m very thankful for another year that will be added to my life. March 24th is my birthday.
This Sunday would be our Holy Supper at the church in the honor of our Lord who chose to give up His life for the forgiveness of our sins. I’m thankful that He made me worthy to partake in this holy event and that I was able to attend the congregation this morning in preparation for the said event.
I’m thankful that 2 of my officemates has decided to go to church again and renewed their faith in God.
I no longer hear them curse and the other one has turned his back on bad vices. I pray that they will carry these through.
My heart is filled with joy because even though things are not all A-ok but it’s generally manageable. I’m worry free. I feel loved and secured.
Thank you Lord for the abundant blessings that you continue to give me and for the guidance on how to use them wisely.
Thank you also because I was able to register, again, to the stateboard exam. I'm praying that I could get the right schedule and that I will be well prepared to take my second chance.
Thank you Lord, for giving me great hopes and opportunities and for making me stronger.
I’m thankful that the certification from the credit card company has arrived in the mail. It certifies that I have closed my account with them in good credit standing.

Thankful Thursday - Providence

I composed this TT list in the office during my one hour break. I'm really swamped with so many obligations but I'm not complaining because His providence is Divine.

********

Last year, my finances are in complete chaos that I almost had my mortgaged house foreclosed. In these times, I did not doubt His love for me because I know that He will provide for me the things that I need.

God has been a good provider.

I’m very thankful for the financial blessing that I received this week which allowed me to register online for the stateboard exam, to pay the bills and to save up some.

I’m very thankful right now that I am no longer into buying stuffs that are not really necessary. As Stacey Orrico’s song says, There’s more to life.

I’m thankful for the energy given to me to juggle work, class and some extra work for the past few weeks. Lord, I’ll be needing more in the months to come.

I’m thankful for the opportunities to write reviews for the things that interest me and earn extra for the write ups. I pray that this will go on.

I’m thankful for the patience given to me the other day that I was able to keep my cool while dealing with our disgruntled client.

Today, Angel marched her way to kinder graduation. Lord, thank you for helping her make it through. I pray that she will carry on with demands of gradeschool life in June.

Lastly, I’m thankful that Dad and I was able to go to church this morning although I felt really exhausted due to my daily commitments, I was able to get up in time to hear His words. I feel more energized.

It’s always nice to be and it’s not late to be thankful.

I'm late again but I know being thankful is not about being early or late. The important thing is, I'm able to say grace.
I'm thankful because:

1. I was able to make it to the church this evening. I was not able to join my sister and dad this morning because because my tooth ached all night and it never let me sleep.
2. My teammate volunteered to swap with me her sked next week. I prefer to get the late shift so I could go to class in the morning.
3. I managed to get a long overdue hair treatment today. My class and office skeds are very tight. Good thing I already attended the previous session of the scheduled live class today so I don't have to sit in.
4. We were able to get an a/c in time for summer. My niece usually gets epistaxis (nose bleed) because of the very hot weather here.
5. My niece, Angel, will be graduating kindergarten next week. She was able to get through the discomfort of attending public school. Now we have a grade schooler!

It's always great to be grateful!

Thankful Thursday - Glory

It's good hear from other people that when good things come their way, the first words that come out of their mouth are: Thank you Lord. It as simple as returning back the glory.
Like my officemate who is not, if I may say like me, a "hardcore" Christian. I mean we're both not the ones who read the bible (which I know should not be), but every time she gets a good news or she would says: Thank you po Jesus!
It hurts my ear to hear people curse or say profanities.
I have been encouraging my officemates who also have blogs to join TT or promoting TT to my non-blogger officemates by just asking them to visit the site of those who are at least commenting on my entries for them to get inspired.
I have been always thankful to have joined this meme because it made me realize so many wonderful things ni my life and to become more appreciative of it. And I know that He's glorified for it.
People in this meme are wonderful warriors of God. I'm not speaking of myself because i know that I have so much to prove.
Thankful I am because I was able to hear the morning sermon today. Sad because my sister was not able to join me. It was a miscommunication. I did not hear her clock alarm so I thought she'll join the evening congregation and I did not wake her up. Only to find out that the alarm clock was trapped under her pillow and she did not hear it ring either.
I'm thankful that when I opened my e-mail, I've got an opportunity to earn extra.
I'm also thankful for Tim who continuously giving me that opportunity.
For all the things that coming in to my life, I return the glory to Him.

Thankful Thursday - Prayer

I know that it’s a bit late for this entry but I know that it’s never too late to be thankful.

This morning, my sister and I were able to make it early to the church. Although we have not slept well, we were thankful that God has allowed us to be in His temple.
Being in church is the best opportunity for me to speak to Him and pour my heart out.

I’m being thankful for I was able to buy the book that I need in school. The mug that I filled with P10.00 coins for the past three months produced the amount that I need to purchase the book. He really knows what we need.

And as what Iris has said in TT her entry:

“I am thankful that God hears our prayers. Although I might not ‘like’ His answer, I know that His answer is always perfect…”

I’m not getting tired of praying because I know that He does not get tired listening.

Thankful Thursday - Love

Another Thursday full of gratefulness and love (not necessarily love for significant other).
I've being thankful because:

1. The rashes on my legs have disappeared. They have been there since December and it only took a week of using Jergens lotion to make them go away. Hurray!
2. Although I lack sleep last night, I did not doze off in class and I was not late.
3. My sister and I were able to go to church early this morning and I was able to talk to Him.
3. Being in the early shift this week, I was able to come to the office early. I hope I won't be late in the coming days
4. I was able to meet my daily quota in the office early and I had ample time to brush up on my notes before going to school.
5. I was able to make it home safe coming late from the school
6. For Angel, my niece, getting a slot in a better public school. I'm praying that I could send her to private school someday. I know God will give it to us in His time.
7. For my heart for not getting any palpitations in the past though I have been taking in much caffeine just to keep me alert and awake
8. For being able to pay my remaining balance in my credit card and I could now request for its permanent disconnection.

Special thanks to Iris for the Thankful Thursday and to all the participants whose gratefulness makes me feel inspired and cheers me on.

Thankful Thursday

It's Thursday once again. Sorry for being late. Came from school.
I can't believe how time flies so fast. This is going to be my third Thankful Thursday. And I'm Thankful for that and for the following:

1. Me and my sister were able to get up early again this morning to attend the mid-week congregation
2. Angel, my niece aced her periodic exam in preschool. I'm thankful that she was able to finally adjust from her old private school set up to her new public school. I was kinda worried about it because it was really humid in her new school and she's prone to getting epistaxis. I have no qualms of her being in public school because I attended public school from grade school to college.
3. I was able to attend my class today and learned new things in pharmacology. Yeah, I wish I have attended the review before I took my stateboard.
4. For Tim and Anna because they have given me new job opportunities again that would make me earn extra.
5. For Arvin, who agreed to swap restdays with me next week so I could I attend the class on Tuesday.
6. For our payday tomorrow with unused Sick Leave credits conversion. I have 14.5 days to convert which means I called in sick for only 2.5 days last year. Woopee!!!!
7. For Iris who serves as an inspiration to me and everyone else in becoming grateful for every blessing that comes our ways.

Looking forward to another TT.

Thankful Thursday

It's Thursday once again. Although my week started not quite right, I know I should still be grateful for the following:

1. For making me realize that I might have uttered offensive things against my colleagues who treated me and thought of me ill when I was really ill.
2. For allowing me to enroll at a review school that will allow me to manage my time
3. For being able to get up early and hear the morning sermon and to talk to Him about my fears and things that bother me.
4. For making me feel a little better both physically and emotionally
5. For the job that paid the rent and fed me and my family for the past 8 years.
6. For wonderful friends who always have their ways of cheering me up when I'm down.
7. For a wonderful family that cheers me on always
8. For Tim, my wonderful employer who wants to pay me always ahead of time and for Anna who acts as the CEO of Tim's growing business who does not get tired of delegating opportunities to me.
9. For always giving me hope and making me believe that there's always that silver lining thing awaiting to greet me beneath the dark clouds... though I don't know when I will see it. What matters is that I'm not getting tired.
10. For a new day.
