Getting hip

In August 2010, about 93,000 hip implants manufactured by DePuy Orthopedics which is owned by Johnson & Johnson were recalled. This action was brought about by a large number of people complaing of pain and experiencing swelling. The condition was so severe that these people required to undergo second hip replacement.
They fought for their rights through O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath which is home to Texas Truck Accident Attorney.
These solons understand that their hip problems may not be their fault but might have been brought about by defective hip implant produced by DePuy.
The expertise of O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath would allow for better handling of most complex products liability claims. They could give you the best hip recall lawyer that you need.

Bed weather again

It’s rainy season once again and along with the heavy rains come the strong winds that make me decide to stay and curl up in bed. I imagine myself in one of the pine beds I see in the mall. After too much backaches that I endure sleeping in my old mattress, I think it is about time to sleep into something better.

Say whut?

Part of our exposure in the ICU is the bedside conference with our coordinator. She was actually looking for me but learning that we were four in one case, which according to her was too much for a group. She went on with the conference with the other group. After an hour of grilling, the three CCC students looked stunned and they kept on mumbling about the conjugated linoleic acid

Distressing your tresses

During my application at the PHC some two years ago, I remember the looks of our now CCC coordinator. She looked to fresh and posed a very respectable aura. Today, I can’t help but notice her thinning hair which was badly damaged by her constant trip to salons for hair treatments. Likewise, she also notice my ultra thick hair and I told her that I used to have hair loss problem and I recommended to her the best shampoo for thinning hair that I used.

Getting through the hurdles

The didactic part of my critical care course is over and alongside with our ICU exposure is the preparation for our case presentation. The roadblock we are facing is the reproduction of the manuscript since we are not allow to take it out for photocopying. The documents are too thick and it requires a good amount of time to browse through. I wish there are document scanning services that we could sneak in the hospital.

A racy Glee?

Controversy is starting to brew as the top three stars of Glee graced the cover of the latest GQ magazine.
While the three are way over the minor age, many, especially some parent group, are offended by the new Glee photos which were described as “Raunchy, slutty, sexually aggressive, bordering on pedophilia, these are the words the concerned parents of America are brandishing around like pompoms” (cinemablend.com).
What do you think about this photo? Is it unfit for the image they project on TV?

Golder and bolder

Apart from getting a food franchise, what is another form of investment? I have to pass on purchasing jewelry but I am interested in gold. You do not have to like gold stuff to invest in it.
You may try to buy gold coins which I think is very timely. Try to choose between gold bars and ingots. Ingots what? Ingots are simply gold ingots derived from pure bullion which is cast in size and shape that makes it handy.
Today is the best time to invest because the US Gold Bureau has given its commitment to serving our precious metal investment needs. With this we could now be assured that your investment will reap its rewards in the future.

As good as it gets

My admiration for Gin Blossoms has been reawakened. As I try to get updated by liking them on Facebook, I found out that they have just released their album on September 28th which is called No Chocolate Cake. The title might sound awful for a sweet tooth like me but our folks have been telling us do not judge the book by its cover.
Its first single entitled “Miss Disarray” are getting good reviews.
The bad is really timeless. I can't wait to hear them live.

Gin Blossoms in Manila!

First I saw it on Facebook. I was kind of sceptic about it but just the same I texted my former officemate who introduced me to the music of Gin Blossoms. The band that made it big in the 90s.I informed her that the famous rock band will be having their concert at the Big Dome on November 18th. Like me, she’s also ecstatic. My scepticism was washed away as I see the advertisement on TV. It’s confirmed that they’re going to rock Manila on the said date.
A perfect gift for myself just before my graduation from the Critical Care Course.
Woohoo!

Go for gold!

Invest, invest, invest! Apart from franchising, what is the next better form of investment? I say no to networking. Enough of the jewelry. What about gold? You do not have to like gold stuff to invest in it. Try buying gold bullion which I think is just timely. Just choose between gold bars and ingots. Say what? Ingots are simply gold ingots from pure bullion which is cast in size and shape that makes it handy.
Since the US Gold Bureau has given its commitment to serving our precious metal investment needs, you could now be assured that your investment will reap its rewards in the future.
So when the opportunity to earn comes your, way will you let go of it? Think again because although the earning may not be tangible in an instant, you can foresee a good return of investment.

Highlariously ashamed

While medicating my patient in his room the other night, I got to catch Wow Mali’s Doray portion. Doray is a spin off of the famous children’s animated show Dora the Explorer. Since it’s a gag show, Doray’s task is to trip on unsuspecting public. That time she was tasked to count on every person’s pimples. I can’t help but crack as she used a magnifying lens to count them off. She even offered them to either have the pimples popped or to use acne products. It was just hilarious. I feel ashamed that I was inside the patient’s room.

LBs go away!

I am on my 3rd week of my food intake control a.k.a. diet but I can’t feel any drop in my weight. My clothes are still getting tighter and tighter each day. I am now thinking of resorting to diet pills that work that work as I need to fit in my wardrobe especially my hospital uniform. I want to go back into running but I still have to wait until the training is over. Hopefully I still manage to run though with the excess pounds around my waist and hips.

Waking up to a sore back

Was it my old bed cushion or I just overslept?
My back is aching from the nape down to my sacrum.
I guess it was not due to oversleeping because I am constantly being awakened by my aching back and it was relieved by lying on either of my sides. Also think that because of me not taking my calcium supplements and taking too much coffee as my pick me up in the morning.
First thing I did when I got up from bed was to dial the drug store’s delivery hotline. My supplements will be delivered this afternoon.

Lovin the monochrome music videos...not for anything

RJ TV on 2nd Ave has this live telecast of its Sunday radio program. I just love seeing the music videos of the old songs that they play especially those black and white ones. They are very classy and remind me of the era when the Beatles was still big. A great start to ease away my back pain.

Caught on cam

Children today are so lucky. They’ve got the advantage of enjoying the technology we never thought will be invented. Getting memories of their daily activities are now made easy with the innovation in digital cameras and every single move they make can now be captured on a camcorder and immediately share with everyone else all over the world through social networking sites. I wonder what would be up for the next generation.

One good luck

One of our consultants were making her rounds when the PA paged for the owner of a particular car that happened to be the consultant’s. She went down for a while and when she went back, she casually said that her car was hit in the parking lot and it got some dents on it. I was amused how she took the situation very lightly even if she’s got car insurance to cover for the damages.

Getting my shape in shape

For a week now, I have started on reducing my food intake. I wanted to lose weight not for anything else but for the purpose of fitting in my clothes. I always get red lines whenever I take off my clothes off. I also try to live up to my promise that I will not use the elevator whether going up or down the hospital building. I believe that no matter how many list of diet pills that you try, it will not work if you will not couple it with proper diet and exercise.

Professional slaves?

One of our patient’s have relatives who are based in the US. They are annoyingly demanding most of the time and the doctors and nurses share the same sentiments. The patient has been confined to bed for more than a month now and the relatives are demanding for some hospital documents that they want to bring with them to the US for their disability appeal. We understand their requirement but what is really annoying is how they asked for it. They treat everyone as if they are their slaves.

The private sanctuary

Since the critical care course has started, I chose to stay in the dorm more often especially when I had a duty straight from the lecture. I am getting used to having roomies and getting in line to get my turn to the bathroom. Since the other area of the bathrooms is being repaired, I contain ourselves to the three cubicles pending reconstruction of betterbathrooms
I really loved how they spruced the bathrooms. They have placed handheld showers with hot and cold switches ofcourse. The sink was also renovated and instead of having three individual sinks, it was converted to one long sink with three fancy faucets. One thing I do not like about the reconstruction though is that they did not include the toilets. They kept them as they were. Toilets were separated by cubicles and the doors on each cubicle are not decent enough to hide what the person inside is doing.
I am just hoping that the renovation of the other bathroom and toilet area will be done soon in order for us to enjoy our bath time. There are times that we need to be in a hurry as there is a long line waiting or one’s time to shower has been eaten up by waiting in line.
