He's coming!

David Cook that is!

We were chatting over lunch today that ticket to Daughtry's concert here in the country is kinda pricey. Well he's famous but I am not anxious to see him. Then I brought up that if David Cook will be having his concert even if it's in Hong Kong then I would sell my soul to anyone who's willing to buy  just to put up the money (Hahaha)

I was telling my officemate that if I were to be asked in US Embassy why I want to go to America, I would answer the interviewer that I wanna see the Idol tour specifically DC. I think I would be denied of the Visa because...

Guess why? Cookie will be having his oh well, show in the country in January 27th. I think it's a mall tour (the stuff that I mentioned about Idols were doing here) to promote his album which is due to come out in November.

Holy Molly matrimony! I can't wait.

Can this year get any better?

I am doing the cartwheel!

I think I need to come up with another believable excuse when I go to the embassy.

I'm anemic

I've lost my color in the Google Page Rank for some reason.
I had PR 3 now it's zero. What did I or did I not do?
What a way to celebrate my birthday.
I won't consume myself by this ridiculous thing.
I must go out. Sublimate my depression by getting a facial. Physical pain is better than emotional ones you know.
Where's that little plastic thing? I must get pampered. This is an emergency!

Notice to explain

Last quarter last year, there was a scheduled uniform fitting in the office. I intentionally did not submit myself to any of the fitting sessions for personal reasons.
Today, I got an e-mail (actually my team leader and the other team) from the HR that I am among those who need to go to the office tomorrow for the uniform fitting otherwise a Notice-to-Explain memo will be served. Oh crap! it's my effin' restday tomorrow and I'm off to run school errands.
For a change, they have just decided to get the RTW (ready to wear) ones than having it "tailor made". I heard that the sizes are small, medium, large and so on... Good part of this new scheme is that you can immediately see which set would fit you "best" unlike before that you have to wait a gazillion years before you could see what the couturier have "conjured" and then wait for another gazillion years if you were unfortunate to get the "UNtailor made" and have the entire set altered to fit.
My fear in this new scheme though is that I'm always in between extra small and small or small and medium. I want my garments tailored fit. Which I have mentioned in my earlier blog that did not work for me in the past gazillion years of my stay in the company. Measure here, measure there and will end up messed up anyway.
I know I'm far from being fashionista but I really don't like the designs of our uniform. I don't care really if it's my work benefit or privilege, but I'd rather shell out some pennies and get my clothes from the sweatshop and be in style and comfortable. It's not a question of being a conformist. I don't mind wearing uniform and blend in the crowd. I just don't effin' like the stylist's taste, if I may call him/her that.
IMAO, it's a whole waste of money for the company to subsidize my uniforms cost if I will not be wearing them anyway.

Compliments and the balance of life

Today, I took a day off to run two errands:

1. I volunteered for the Philippine Heart Center's People's Day
2. and another one for a private hospital (it's still a secret, coz I don't wanna pre-empt it)

I met new volunteers at the PHC. We did FBS and cholesterol counts and ran ECG on some patients.
During our chitchats, one of the volunteers tried to guess my age.....she guessed that I'm 24. Woohoo!!!!
The free clinic ended up around 12:30 pm. I hurriedly headed for my next errand at another hospital in a nearby city. The appointment was 2:00 pm and I was able to make it on the dot. Hurray!
It ended around 4:00 pm. I took G Liner bus to Quiapo still wearing my volunteer uniform.
As I handed my bus ride fare to the conductor, he asked: estudyante ka? (Are you a student?). I want to ask him back: Is there a hidden camera somewhere? Am I being Punked?
Well, the conductor asked because the student and senior citizen's 20 % discounted fare is implemented nationwide.
His honest question really made my day that I was not able to feel bad finding out that I did not pass the entrance exam to another hospital. I was expecting it any way.
It's life's equilibrium. I guess.

p.s. I pigged out at Wendy's again.

Rising up to a nutty day!

Almost everyday, I go to the supermarket beside our office to check if my favorite cereal has been replenished. It's been almost two months I guess since the store has displayed Post Banana Nut Crunch. Among the Post's selections, it's the only one that sells like a hot cake. The minute it's displayed, it's all gone when you blink (an over statement of course LOL). Seriously, It will not take a week after it's taken out of the stockroom, the rack will be swept clean of this particular variant.
So when I passed by the lane of cereals, my heart thumped! There are 10 boxes of Banana Nut Crunch. Hallelujah!
In my fear of getting "starved" again for the next 2 months, I hoarded. Hahahaha! I bought 5 boxes and if Monday (my payday) there are still left, I will put them all in my cart.
I'm not a person who eats breakfast on a regular basis. Then, I could start my day at work or in school and have my first meal in the afternoon. I'm trying to make some changes in my life. I'm imposing upon myself to fill my stomach with something before starting any of my daily activities. and this cereal is the only one that works for me.
All I can say now is that I have 5 good boxes of reasons to waking up in the morning!

Good times

On my way to the office, I passed by a nursing review center on Quezon Ave. It's lunch time I suppose since the students are coming out of that center heading to a fastfood store.
I just remembered about this time last year when I was also having my review for the Philippine Nurse Licensure Exam.
The review sessions were from Monday to Sunday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Since I was working then, I was only able to attend the morning sessions from 8:00 to 12:00 nn. I didn't' want to miss a lecture that is why I've asked my review buddy to record the other half of the sessions. Then, I would upload it to my MP3 player and basically play it non-stop while working from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm. As soon as I'm done with my shift then, I hurriedly swing by Mc Donald's or Jollibee to brush up on my notes or transcribe the lecture from the recorded sessions. I would stay there until 1:00 am.
My life was like this for the 3 years 2 months last year. I'm glad that it's over and I was able to make it through.
The next thing happened was this....

Our oathtaking in February 2007. I was ecstatic.
This is one of the things in my life that is worth reminiscing.
All praises to Him!
