Fashion week, here I come!

It’s not a secret. I always wanted to be a Model. I enjoy watching shows like Project Runway, America’s Next Top Model and everything on F Channel. I am a sucker for fashion.

If I had the height, I would have dropped out of college and started strutting on the catwalk. Well then, the competition was stiff, only the Young and Beautiful ones could get the edge.

But now Look of the year is getting a make over in terms of fashion model search and Beauty contest.

They have come up with the easiest way to get recognized and win 10,000 grand. By just sending your pictures, you are opening so many windows of opportunities to get recognized by a modeling agency. Just log on to http://www.lookoftheyear.com and who knows you’ll be on the ramps of Paris, New York or Milan in their upcoming fashion weeks.

Sashay!

A not so busy day

In our team, it's so hard to get a vacation leave slot.
It's like playing chess, you have to put your best piece to checkmate the person plotting leave in a particular week against you.
So I used my Priority 1 to attack their Priority 2 and 3. Hahaha.
But I kind of felt frustrated since the leave was supposed to be used for my class but the class today was called off. So I decided to run errands.
First I went off to pay for Puti (my house on mortgage in the province). I got a queue number from the guard. It read No. 645 and when I went in, the cashier is serving No. 500!
Great! Good thing I brought with me a book. After over an hour, my number was finally called.
I was thinking of asking the cashier to break my P500.00 because I need a loose change for the fare. I glanced at her cash register box and I saw that she had no change so I said to myself I will just take the train instead of the bus to go to the mall.
So when I went to the only train ticket seller she said that she had no change and even showed me the money in her cash register.
I snapped a little. This is what I hate about dealing with government employees. They always make you feel that you are a nuisance to them. She also gave the same treatment to the people behind me who were able to go ahead because they had smaller bills.
Before I could say something awful, I tried to find my coin purse. I was able to get 6 P1.00, 15 P0.25 and just to annoy her, I decided to give her 2 P0.10
and a P0.05.
I was just waiting for her to give me the attitude again and if she did then I will state to her that, don't complain because that's all I have got but If you could move your fat rear to get some loose change maybe I could give you a decent P10.00 for the ticket.

A sense of fulfillment not just an ethos

After graduation, I told myself that I will just work for a couple of years then I will be getting a master’s degree in business and management.

It’s been half a decade already and I just smiled thinking that I did not get a continuing education but I got myself another degree this time in health and science. I was able to do regular schooling in the morning and to perform my fulltime job in the evening for three years. Whew!

Since it’s over and I am already licensed to practice my profession here in my county, I am thinking of pursuing my original plan that is getting an MBA degree. Of course, I could not still let go of my fulltime office job since it’s my bread and butter so I need to consider a reputable institution that will entertain full time employee like me.

I am glad that education institutions are giving attention to the demand of full time or part time professionals who still want to pursue their master’s degrees.

Part-time, evening program are now designed for students who wish to work full time while pursuing their degree. This program is I think way relaxed than the one I used to do finishing my second bachelor’s degree.

So, say hello to my MBA , a fulfillment not just an ethos.

Graveyard

Our side of the office floor has never been this silent.
It appears like graveyard since the other group has packed their things and moved a floor down.
I'm posting at a desk bordering the support group which team members are my friends and the group I belong.
My stay in the office is kinda melancholic. But I'm not depressed.
I would have not opened my mouth today if it weren't for my teammate who kept on popping behind my back. This tranny loves to stand by the window and to look at everything that moves outside.
'Guess I miss the looney troop.
Are you reading this guys? I am not gonna admit it in person though. Hahaha.
See you around!

Do not get lost in translation

Based on my experience most e-mails that I sent to different service providers were responded to at least a week after I have sent them or they were not responded to at all.

I am surprised to learn that there’s a Hindi translation service that responds to their customers within an hour. Well 95% of e-mail actually but that’s still a big wow!

It’s being efficiently managed by an Indian translation agency or India translation services company

They have been providing also services for ten years Arabic translation and Farsi translation of documents or written text that are meant to be put online.

They also provide interpretation and other translation related services such as subtitling, DTP, etc in Indian and other languages and they assure high quality service.

Talk about fast and efficiency.

Come to think of it, if a company is being run by Indians it must be good especially when it comes to customer service.

Ask me why and I'll ask you back. Has it ever occurred to you why the customer representative that you have spoken with had a hint of not so American accent when you called your local airline or internet service provider?

Weddings and savings

In a matter of days, the month of June will step in. The first thing that comes in my mind when speaking of June is weddings. A bride can only be called June Bride and not May Bride, July Bride or whatever.

Ever wondered why?

Anyway, with weddings come the bridal entourage, invitations, receptions and all. And with bridal entourage, church preparations and receipts flowers are a primary concern.

They should follow a certain them and should remain fresh all thorough out the special occasion.

If you are one of those busy bees preparing for your own wedding or for someone else’s wedding, two things should come first your mind in choosing flowers: quality and affordability. You might want to consider choosing fresh rose petals for bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquet, corsages, boutonnieres, and table arrangements.

You could get them from FiftyFlowers which uses overnight express shipping to the customer within 2 or 3 days of being cut. This assures that the flowers is still at its best the way they have been picked from flower farms in Ecuador, Colombia and other exotic locations.

The flower costs are cheaper by up to 75% since they have removed the wholesalers and retailers from the flower supply chain. Now, that’s a lot of savings.
