A party hit

It really amazes me how people become creative. Who would think that someone would come up with Casey Anthony’s mask? I mean she is regarded as America’s Most Hated Mom but still her image is selling like hotcake on eBay? The bid reached about $1 million dollars. That is totally wicked! Now every person who will get their own piece will surely be throwing or sucking for Halloween party invitations to have the bragging rights.

It is my first time to see our own Arnel Pineda hit the rockstar notes with his band Journey. I feel the energy pumping as this little guy from Manila try to conquer the territory of what he calls the big boys. He has a very high pitch yet powerful voice that brings the crowd alive up on their feet.
Being there for over two decades with Pineda joining the group in 2007, their audience is diverse. From the old one’s down to the younger ones which makes them legendary. Each individual in the audience went wild when Pineda started belting out their anthem Don’t stop believin’. The audience actually knows the lyrics to the song.
With their all time hits, they are dubbed as the all time band.

The great renovation

In line of the Accreditation Canada team visit, the whole hospital is gearing up to their standards. The whole pack is crazy sprucing the entire hospital. Renovation here, repair there and what actually excites me is that they will convert our pantry to staff lounge. The carpentry group will use garage floor coating to mend the chipped off part of our ward pantry. I am really looking forward to having a homey atmosphere while at work.

Shopping with nothing

I was watching Ellen Degeneres show the other night and like Ellen, I got blown away by her guest’s ability to collect and combine coupons to get the grocery stuff at less than half their costs and at some point totally free at all! She said she gets her coupons from the magazine, newspapers and online like Sherry's discounts and coupons. Ellen’s crew crashed into her house and found huge tons after tons of grocery products. She claims she ain’t no horder because she shares them with her neighbors who are in need.
What you think is impossible is actually possible.

Swinging like a monkey

I really wanted to enroll back to the gym. Aside from the motivation I get from working out until my muscles sore, I enjoy the equipment I could experiment on. I wanted to try the stainless steel barrels. It reminds me of the monkey bars I used to hang on in our school’s playground during my elementary days. I wish that I could get the opportunity to hit the gym again. I wish.

Hello endorphins!

I am able to squeeze in to my super hectic schedule some time to run. I really love the feeling of sweating all my stress out and after three rounds around the UP oval, I feel that the endorphins have started to kick in. Running is a total cardio activity I can feel it especially before tucking myself at night. I feel a great sense of soreness especially in my core. It is like popping apidexin everyday that gives me a natural way of shedding excess pounds.

How did she sneak away?

Okay I was wrong. The whole time that media were making detailed coverage of Casey Anthony’s awaited release, I was snoring in my crib.
Watching the weekend recap of the hottest news, I saw and learned that Anthony sped off Orange County Jail in a grey SUV. It took her less than 15 seconds to get out of the prison after mouthing “Thank you” to one of the armed guards. She wore a pink v-neck shirt, a pair of skinny jeans and sneakers.
Boarding her ride, flashes of light coming from cameras and screams of hatred awakened the senses of every spectators in the dead of the night.
The vehicle hit the road along with the armed escorts away from the media frenzy.
Her car was pursued by news helicopter but lost after a while. Many presumed that she was dropped off at a tarmac in a city airport but there was no passenger manifesto to prove it. The twin-engine private jet took off shortly after 1:00 am at Orlando Executive Airport for Ohio, the home state of Anthony’s parents.
Defense attorney to Anthony said that there were “elaborate plans” for Anthony’s release but he refused to get down with the details.
Her lawyer, Jose Baez said ‘It is my hope that Casey Anthony can receive the counselling and treatment she needs to move forward with the rest of her life.’
With $537.68 in her pocket as take home money from her jail account and with a nation full of outrage against her acquittal, will she ever live a normal life?

Does freedom translate to peace?

Media people were not able to cover the release of Casey Anthony as she left the Orange County jail at 12:14AM. Some are speculating that she will and actually suggesting she change her identity that include her name and looks in order for her to start a new life. This is in view of the discrimination or anger that she may face after being acquitted of killing her daughter Caylee.
Many believe that she is guilty and that people’s rage about her acquittal may lead to something tragic.

Is it freedom for Casey?

She is about to become a free woman tomorrow completing her jail time sentence. The big question is how will she start a new life now that his father released a statement that she is not welcome to their home. Also, security is a big question as there have been surfacing death threats.
The world awaits her release but not with open arms as people are not fond of her acquittal.
One of the jurors says they are sure that she played a hand at something but they were not sure what it is. And that if they could convict her for her partying spree they would have done so.
What is up for her after jail life?

They are calling it quits

Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez who have been married for seven years are now separating. They have not disclosed the full details of the latest separation of the showbiz couple. The latest couple to hit the splitsville have two kids twins Max and Emme.
Lopez told People Magazine that “It was a painful decision” and they wish to ask for some privacy time.
The marriage was the third for Lopez, 41, and the second for Anthony, 42. He was previously married to 1993 Miss Universe Dayanara Torres. On the other hand, Lopez was married to waiter Ojani Noa and to dancer Cris Judd.
It is also a big question whether Lopez will be back as American Idol judge this season.
You might recall that Marc Anthony and J. Lo performed in the Idol finals this year.

Is it over?

Casey Anthony was found not guilty of the murder of her then 3-year-old daughter. The verdict was made on Tuesday and has surprised a number of legal analysts and crowd.
Since Caylee’s remains were mere dry bones, it was hard for the prosecutor to support their case of murder.
The defense stood by their statement that Casey did not murder Caylee and that the little girl accidentally drowned in their family’s pool.
Anthony however was found guilty of four counts of providing false information to a law enforcement officer and yesterday, her penalty was issued. She will serve four years in prison and after recalculating her prison stay of 1,043 days which will serve as credit, Casey will be released on July 17th.
The trial lasted for seven weeks which had the grip of the people in the US.
“No justice in the case” this is one of the comments heard in the coverage of the decade’s OJ Simpson trial.
I pray that Caylee will soon find justice.
