The gold bullion craze has reached the shore of Thailand stock market as The Capital Market Supervisory Board gave its thumbs up to the operation of Gold exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The board approved two types of gold ETFs in the market - ETF feeder fund investing in an overseas gold fund and an ETF that is directly involved in the investment of gold bullion in the local market.
The Securities and Exchange Commission will be expected to work with the Stock Exchange of Thailand to assist in educating local investors. Now, is the best time to buy gold bullion for both Thai locals and foreign investors.
